"We try to combine the best of the chains and the best of independent pharmacies so we can take care of the patients to the best of our ability."
Brittany Sanders
"“The teaching side of things lets me show students what community pharmacies can do. I can show my students how community pharmacies do these great things like screenings, testings, and vaccines. We can show them what it means to treat the whole patient.”
Megan Smith
Megan Smith grew up in North Carolina and moved to Arkansas in 2016. She began working in small hometown pharmacy during high school, which spurred her lifelong passion for community pharmacy.
She graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Eshelman School of Pharmacy in 2013, then completed a community residency and a research fellowship at UNC. She moved to Arkansas to join UAMS College of Pharmacy as a faculty member focused on community pharmacy. Her passion is helping to highlight the incredible profession of community pharmacy and helping practitioners advance their services. Her work with community pharmacists directs her teaching and research activities.
When she is not teaching or working at our pharmacy, Megan is trying to keep up with her active 5 and 7 year old boys! She enjoys exploring new places, watching documentaries, and reading.
We are excited to announce that Megan was awarded the NCPA (National Community Pharmacy Association) Foundation's 2022 National Preceptor of the Year Award! The award recognizes those who are “elevating community pharmacy practice through teaching and research" and it was presented at the October 2022 NCPA conference.
At the Arkansas Pharmacists Association's Annual Meeting in June 2023, Megan was also presented the 2023 NASPA Excellence in Innovation Award! This award is also well-deserved -- Megan has done so much to advance community pharmacy across the state. Congratulations Megan!

Taylor was born and raised in Arkansas, graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Biochemistry, then came back to Arkansas to attend UAMS College of Pharmacy. She was first introduced to pharmacy in her high school Chemistry class, where she discovered that the field combined her passions for science and people. Taylor graduated from UAMS in 2023, then pursued an extra year of training through the NCPA/CPESN fellowship program, which she completed at The Pharmacy at Wellington.
Taylor's roles outside of her daily pharmacy duties include the Cognivue program, oral contraceptive consultations, medication therapy management, and many other clinical services. She hopes to continue to expand the services offered by the pharmacy. She also serves as a preceptor for pharmacy students from Harding College of Pharmacy.
When Taylor is not at work, you'll find her with her husband, daughter, and their golden retriever. They love to spend time with family, go on adventures, or just stay home together.
